Witchoria, or Victoria Siemer, is a New York-based artist creating the most powerful images. Stirring deep emotions, her imagery has so much room for personal interpretation, but they tend to focus on heartbreak, existential crisis and melancholy.
Check out Victoria’s website, Instagram and Behance to see more of her work. I think the series pictured above – “Geometric Reflections” – was the one I found Victoria through, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. The soft beauty and unyielding power that exist in all of her images gives me chills.Recently she’s been experimenting a lot with animating her art, and it’s just stunningly beautiful.
“Hue Don’t Own Me” is yet another series of Victoria’s, and it’s just as moving as her other work. I just adore the darkness combined with the colours in these. So awe-inspiring.
Another thing that really fascinates me with Victoria’s work is the inventive nature of her ideas, juxtaposing things like she does in “Human Error” is just so wonderful and plays with expectations and connotations in a way that slightly catches you off guard, which just enhances the power in the images.
